1. Lake Lanier Islands

Lake Lanier Islands is a beautiful and fun spot to go in the summer, but they sure do put on a great lights display for Christmas! Its Holiday Village features carnival rides, Santa’s Workshop, and Magical Lights.

If you want to stay a night at Lake Lanier, you can book the Magical Nights of Light package for a great price. This includes getting into Magical Night of Lights, carnival ride tickets, overnight stay, and a breakfast buffet for 4.

2. Callaway Gardens

Callaway Gardens is located in the small town of Pine Mountain just over an hour drive south of Atlanta. This location has a small lake and plenty of trails for summertime. They utilize this space for their lights display during Christmastime!

The most fun way to experience the lights at Callaway Gardens is to ride the trolley. It may be chilly out, but you can enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate after your ride! Book the package to stay overnight to enjoy your visit even more.

3. Rock Ranch

Rock Ranch is normally known for its Fall festivities, but its Christmas display is just as impressive! It was founded by Truett Cathy, founder of Chick-Fil-A. In addition to their lights display, they also have what they call Country Christmas Nights. These special nights feature more activities along with the lights display.

4. Atlanta Botanical Garden

Ever thought to go to a botanical garden to see Christmas lights? Change it up and check out the lights display at the Atlanta Botanical Garden! The Garden Lights will make you feel like you’re going through a forest of lights.

 

Time: Friday & Saturday 5:00pm – 11:00pm; Sunday thru Thursday 5:00pm – 10:00pm

5. Six Flags Over Georgia

Amusement parks are fun places to go during holidays. Six Flags Over Georgia now provides Christmas lights and activities! Find a Winter Wonderland during Holiday in the Park.

6. Stone Mountain

Stone Mountain Park probably has the most activities for Christmas time near Atlanta. Stone Mountain Christmas Celebration includes a lights show on Stone Mountain and lots of activities. Apart from the Christmas activities, Stone Mountain even has a Snow Mountain! You definitely won’t find that anywhere else in Georgia.
